I Surrender

I have climbed the highest mountain,

Hoping there would lie my fortune, but was wrong

And I swam the deepest ocean

Seeking treasure and conviction, but was wrong

So I stopped to reconsider all my oaths of self-deception

And I found, I was wrong, I was wrong

So I Surrender to you, Heaven I Surrender to you

Clearly I was not, made to walk this path alone

So I Surrender to you, Heaven I Surrender to you

Humbled here I stand, take me as I am, back home

I'd been praying with my eyes

For things worldly and unwise, but was wrong

I thought life would be complete

Rising far above defeat, but was wrong

So I finally realized I was missing out on happy all along

I was wrong, I was wrong

So I Surrender to you, Heaven I Surrender to you

Clearly I was not, made to walk this path alone

So I Surrender to you, Heaven I Surrender to you

Humbled here I stand, take me as I am, back home

Back home, where I belong

Where truth runs free, where I am me

So I Surrender to you, Heaven I Surrender to you

Clearly I was not, made to walk this path alone

So I Surrender to you, Heaven I Surrender to you

Humbled here I stand, take me as I am, back home
